  • Looks like a lot of people didn’t bother to vote in this primary. That’s not how a democracy works best.

  • You already know everyone in this photo watches fox news daily and owns a trump flag or maga hat

  • Koios - I was thinking the exact same thing. About 15% of Putnam County residents showed up. That is really sad, I think.

  • The turn-out for this primary isn’t unusual for this County when it’s not election time for a President running. Even then the numbers are on the low-side compared to the population of voting age residents. I agree, that’s sad.

  • The low turn-out was exacerbated by the essentially non-existent democrat vote, which makes sense since their slate was essentially non-existent. Even though we are inching toward being a 60-40 R to D county, which I applaud, adding another ~2,000 democrat votes would boost overall percentage turnout substantially.

  • I AM Happy with results for sheriff race. STEVE HIBLER was not right person for this job . he don’t even know how to execute simple search warrant. His department were incompetent to serve search warrant in prior. We need skilled person and we have right person now . ( jerrod)

  • Luna, that stands to reason why.

Primary elections should not be a government run thing.

The Republican Party and the Democrat Party are private organizations. They are not the government.
