Barbara Jean Fisher

Barbara Jean Fisher, 89, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Hickory Creek at Sunset.

Barbara was born in Escanaba, Mich., on Jan. 23, 1933, the daughter of Arthur Eugene and Jeanette Cecilia (Herbert) Mayville. She was a graduate of Ben Davis High School.

Mrs. Fisher worked for 17 years in research filing with Eli Lilly Company. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include two children, Jean Marie Fisher-Cannon (husbandJohn) and Steven Lee Fisher (Candy); a sister, Maxine Marie Tex (husband Jerry); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold L. Fisher; and a son, Danny Harold Fisher.

A mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at St. Paul of the Apostle Catholic Church with Father John Hollowell officiating. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. at the church with a Rosary to be held at 10:20 a.m. Burial will follow mass in Stilesville Cemetery.
