CLOVERDALE – An education technology company based in Cloverdale has recently been melded within a larger firm in a move to broaden its impact in schools on a global scale.

Standard for Success, co-founded in 2011 by former Cloverdale educators Todd and Diane Whitlock, has created a software utilized for evaluations, assessments and graduation pathways. The company has stated that the software is used in schools in 38 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Australia and Dubai.

Standard for Success was acquired by Texas-based Education Advanced Inc. (EAI), which has developed its own software for scheduling, coordination and curriculum mapping. Its CEO is Eli Crow.

“In the detailed internal discussions on how to grow the impact of Standard for Success’ products, it became clear that the combined resources of our talents could have a much greater influence together than we could independently,” Whitlock said. “The team that Eli has put together is led by educators and that passion for education matched our mantra.”

This combined reach, as provided by EAI, would include over five million students in more than 10,000 schools worldwide.
