Cami Henry (Camby, Ind./Mooresville), a May graduate and pitcher on the DePauw softball team, has been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America® Division III Softball First Team for the second-straight season. A communication and Hispanic studies double major, Henry earned similar honors last year and is one of just four student-athletes on this year's team to repeat the honor.

Henry, a two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) all-America selection including second team this year, posted a 26-7 record in the circle for the Tigers with a 1.15 earned run average and struck out a DePauw-record 263 in 189.0 innings. She recorded two saves with four shutouts. Her 26 wins ranked second in Division III this year and her 263 strikeouts were third. Henry was the second DePauw softball player to earn the all-America honors in multiple years as Megan Soultz did so in 2007, 2008 and 2010.

This season, Henry was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year for the third time in her career. Henry posted an 11-0 record in conference games and saved two while posting a league-best 0.98 earned run average. In 64 conference innings, Henry struck out 77 and walked 16 and ranked second with 8.42 strikeouts per seven innings. She holds NCAC career records with 71 wins, 710 strikeouts and 9.27 strikeouts/7 inn. and finished with a 25-0 record in NCAC games.

Henry is among 51 DePauw student-athlete to earn Academic All-America® honors since the program's inception in 1952 and one of two to be recognized in softball (Rachel MacBeth, 2011, 2012). Including multiple-year winners, DePauw student-athletes have earned the distinction 66 times including four times in softball.

Henry is the first DePauw student-athlete to be selected to the first team in multiple years since Catie Baker (women's swimming) earned first team at-large honors in 2011 and 2012. She is the third DePauw student-athlete to earn the distinction in 2021-22 as she joins Zac Bowman (football) and Elijah Hales (men's basketball). The complete list of DePauw's honorees is here.

The 2021‐22 Academic All‐America® Softball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
