CLOVERDALE -- Lane restrictions on Interstate 70 westbound between State Road 39 and U.S. 231 will be in place for patch work starting on or after Friday, June 17, the Indiana Department of Transportation has announced.

The westbound lane will be restricted to 12 feet on Friday, starting at 9 p.m. to the following Friday at 6 a.m., and will repeat. The work is expected to last through the beginning of August, weather permitting.

An alternate route is SR 267 to U.S. 40 to U.S. 231 and back to I-70.

This project was awarded to Rieth Riley Construction for $17.2 million. It also includes patchwork on I-70 from approximately 0.48 miles west of SR 59 to approximately 6.4 miles east of S.R 59.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
