Brazil Concert Band paying tribute to Father’s Day

BRAZIL — The Brazil Concert Band, directed by Matthew Huber, will honor Father’s Day this Sunday, June 19 in Forest Park, rain or shine, at 8 p.m.

Dads will enjoy “Man of the Hour” by Henry Fillmore, “The Golden Dragon” by Karl L. King, “The Whistler and His Dog” by Arthur Pryor, “Man of La Mancha” by Mitch Leigh and arranged by Frank Erickson and “Storm Warning Rag” by Stephen Kent Goodman.

Also with Dad in mind, the band will play “Zeus: King of the Gods” by Rob Romeyn, “Nobles of the Mystic Shrine” by John Philip Sousa, “I Do! I Do!” by Harvey Schmidt and arranged by Erickson, “Lovers Lane” by King and “Men from Mars” by Harold L. Walters.

The Brazil Concert Band performs each Sunday evening in Forest Park during June, July and August.
