Lane restrictions coming to U.S. 36 in Avon

AVON — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced lane restrictions on U.S. 36 starting on or after Monday, June 27.

The U.S. 36 westbound passing lane will be restricted just west of Hendricks County Road 625 East over White Lick Creek to just east of County Road 571 East.

U.S. 36 will be down to one, 12-foot lane in that area. This will allow crews to safely patch the west side of White Lick Creek bridge.

The restrictions are expected to last into July, weather permitting.

This project was awarded to Rieth Riley Construction for $2.9 million.
