County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Friday

• At 3:36 a.m. Edward R. Williams, 44, Glasgow, Ky., was lodged at the jail for criminal mischief and burglary.

Thursday

• At 11:09 p.m. Zachary S. Hayman, 58, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

• At 9:23 p.m. Clifford A. McMann, 59, Bainbridge, was housed at the jail for battery resulting in bodily injury.

•At 4:57 p.m. Clarence W. Gilmore, 34, Beech Grove, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 3: 24 p.m. Christopher B. Taylor, 50, Gosport, was lodged at the jail for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

•At 3:34 a.m. Monday, Isach Osborn, 19, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Luke Brown.

Taken into custody at an East Washington Street residence, Osborn was booked into the Putnam County Jail for invasion of privacy.

•At 1:07 a.m. Sunday, Jackie McCollister, 59, homeless, was arrested by Officer Angela Taylor.

Taken into custody at Casey’s on Bloomington Street, McCollister was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a Putnam County warrant for failure to appear in court on an original charge of theft.

•At 10:24 a.m. Saturday, James Means Jr., 37, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten at Headley Hardware on Indianapolis Road.

Means was charged with theft for allegedly taking miscellaneous items totaling $473.

He was also booked into the jail on charges of possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana and hashish.
