Lelia and Halford Mercer - 78th Anniversary

Lelia (96) and Halford (98) Mercer were married Oct. 2,1944.

Mrs. Mercer is the former Lelia Marie Johnson.

Halford Keith Mercer is a World War II Veteran and retired from IBM Greencastle.

The couple were lifelong residents of Putnam County.

Their family includes children Sonna (the late Jim) Mehne of San Antonio, Texas, and

Gary (McKarla) Mercer of Eustis,Fla.; three grandsons, John Mercer, Jim Mehne Jr.,

Bobby Mehne (Josie) of San Antonio, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Mehne, Kayla Mehne and Aiden Mehne.

The couple now resides in Brazil.
