Garry Lee Coffman

Garry Lee Coffman, 74, of Poland, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Born Dec. 1, 1948, in Greencastle, he was the son of Rollie and Hazel (Freeman) Coffman.

Garry retired after 27-and-a-half years from Navistar in Indianapolis. He later worked at Ascena in Greencastle.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters.

Garry is survived by his children, Robert L. (wife Michele) Coffman and Kristy (husband Michael) Murrell; brothers Larry Coffman and Donnie Coffman; sisters Mary Truesdel and Shirley Williams; grandchildren Tyler (wife Kaylee) Coffman, Kaylee (husband Dillon) Shoemaker, Austen Murrell and Chelsey Murrell; and great-grandchild Cooper Shoemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
