Community meeting planned in Russellville on Monday

RUSSELLVILLE — Citizens concerned with the ongoing shipment of hazardous materials into Russell Township will meet on Monday, March 20.

The group will meet to keep the discussion going after it came to light last month that some of the waste from the February train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, was headed to the Heritage Environmental landfill east of Russellville. The idea is for citizens to create an action plan in response to the shipments.

The meeting will take place at the Russellville Community Center at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
