Susan Marie Lorimer

Susan Marie Lorimer, 49, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

She was born in Indianapolis on Oct. 8, 1973 to the late William H. “Bill” and Sharon Sue (Hibler) Smith. Susan married William “Andy” Lorimer on Nov. 4, 1995.

Susan graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1992. She was an event coordinator and owner of Big Bounce Fun House Rentals and also affectionately known as the CEO of FUN.

She was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church where she was director of vacation Bible school for eight years; past president of Greencastle Chamber of Commerce; past president of P.C.Y.S.A.; founder of Greencastle Second Saturday free community event; enjoyed her time with her fitness family at Anytime Fitness; but above all she especially loved spending time with her family.

Susan is survived by her husband, William “Andy” Lorimer of Greencastle; four children, Sarah, Jacob, David and Michael Lorimer, all of Greencastle; two brothers, Brian Smith and Todd Smith and wife Sherri; ex-sisters-in-law Jen Smith, Trish Hodgson and Dawn Bradshaw; all her nieces and nephews; also loved as her own children: Jess Vensko and Felicite Draper as well as every Big Bounce employee, EVER.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 653 S. CR 100 East, Greencastle, IN 46135. Pastor Wes Kendall will officiate the celebration of life memorial service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 following the visitation at the church.
