Restaurant brings Mediterranean flair to town

There's a new restaurant in town and it's not like any other in the county. ABC Gyros and Pizzas offers a wide selection on its menu including the well-known Greek sandwich, Gyros (pronounced He-ros). This sandwich is pure Greek and it simply means that the "gyros" turns around. A "gyros" is a full turn and the verb "gyrizo" means "to rotate." This comes from the way the meat is cooked in Mediterranean countries...

Wal-Mart Distribution part of Wreaths Across America

Since 1992, Morrill Worcester, owner of the Worcester Wreath Company in Harrington, Maine, has been sending a trailer load of wreaths to be laid on the graves at Arlington National Cemetery. The company has donated 90,000 wreaths that have been placed by volunteers in a wreath-laying ceremony each December since 1992. As word spread, the mission to remember, honor and teach about the sacrifices made by veterans has captured the hearts and minds of many communities across the country...
