For the past 20 to 25 years, the Optimist Club has been parking cars during fair week. This year, come rain or shine, they will be covered. The Roachdale Optimist Club donated the funds to have the shelter built.

Hearing date set for accused arsonist

GREENCASTLE -- A Bainbridge man accused of burglarizing a house and then setting it on fire will be in Putnam County Circuit Court for a pretrial conference on July 22. Joseph S. Bettany shines in Amiel's 'Creation'

It would be easy to dismiss Jon Amiel's "Creation" as an agenda driven propaganda machine intent on shoving Charles Darwin's theory of evolution down one's throat. But, the film is far from that. Perhaps no issue more quickly divides people than the mere mention of evolution. Both sides have passionate feelings, but ironically, evolution is only a minor subplot in "Creation"...
