Russell Eugene Roe, 83, of Roachdale died at his residence Sunday. He was born on April 29, 1927 in Barnard to Bert and Mary May Miller Roe. GREENCASTLE -- Amid positive cases reported in Allen, Hamilton, Marion and Montgomery counties, no confirmed strains of the West Nile Virus have been reported in Putnam County so far this year, according to local health officials. Doug Ehmen, public health coordinator and environmental health specialist for the Putnam County Health Department, said the county has sent three samples tested from the county into the Department of Health Entomology Laboratory in Indianapolis last week but has not received back results yet.. ...
