Real Men Read program needs local men to read to kids

The United Way of Putnam County is hoping to implement the Real Men Read program into the four Putnam County schools. The program would take one male volunteer into each of the 19 kindergarten classrooms, one day a month for five months of the school year. Arts & Crafts show at Apostrophe' for Sept. 5 First Friday

The Apostrophe' Art Space will feature a show by DePauw University art professor Cynthia O'Dell, her husband, local potter Scott Cooper, and their daughter, Maggie Pixel. Titled "Arts & Crafts," the show will feature photography, pottery and paintings. Most of the work on display will be for sale.
