The annual Parkfest Summer Concert Series, co-sponsored by the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department, will begin Tuesday, June 5 and run through Tuesday, July 31.
There will be six weekly performances, with the music beginning at 7 p.m.
The opening concert features The Fret Set, a band specializing in dulcimer music. The June 12 show will feature Harriet Moore and Pamalee Smith who perform classical music on harp and flute.
The show on June 19 highlights the band Convergence, a classical jazz group. The final show for June will be Van-Terry Acoustic Old Time.
In July, the shows begin July 10 with Matt Huber directing the Brazil Band. On July 17, Tony Harmless's band will be performing songs from the '70s,' 80s, and beyond. The final show on July 31 will feature Skunk Hour, a classic rock and country band.
All shows, except the Brazil Band, will be performing in the band shell at Robe-Ann Park. The Brazil Band's tentative location is Gobin United Methodist Church. The public is invited to attend, and encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
