Brandon Vaughn, 18, Coatesville, was traveling east on CR 200N near Fillmore at 4:26 a.m. Wednesday, when a deer ran in front of his vehicle. Vaughn, who was driving a dealer-loaned 2004 Jeep Cherokee, swerved to miss the animal. He left the roadway, traveled approximately 200 yards in a ditch, struck a power pole and rolled several times before coming to a stop.

Investigating officers smelled alcohol on Vaughn and charges are pending until results from state toxicology report are received.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $10,001 to $25,000 in damages.

Milan Tyler, Poland, was traveling east on Jackie Dunn Road near Reelsville at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, when a westbound vehicle driven by Bradley Ashby, Brazil, struck the right front fender of Tyler's vehicle.

Tyler stated Ashby was traveling in the wrong lane at the time of the accident. He had attempted to avoid a collision with Ashby by coming to an almost complete stop.

Steele's Wrecker Service towed Ashby's vehicle from the scene. He was later booked into the Putnam County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

John Allen Martin, 28, Rockville, was booked at 9:44 p.m. Wednesday for petition to revoke probation.

Demetrios Pitchford, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 11:56 p.m. for domestic battery.

Ralph A. Cavell, 51, Greencastle, was booked at 12:21 a.m. Thursday for domestic battery.

Jeremy D. Miller, 29, Greencastle, was booked at 4:12 a.m. for public intoxication and possession or use of a legend drug.

Ruth F. Spurling, 33, New Palestine, was booked at 9:27 a.m. for failure to appear.
