Final tour destination
GREENCASTLE -- A newly built home owned by Dr. Isaac and Cecily Case, 1041 Deerfield Drive, is one of six on the Delta Theta Tau Sorority 27th annual Holiday Home Tour.
The home was built by Bart Spencer with Blue Sky Homes and completed in September. It reflects the lifestyle of an active young couple. It meets their needs for efficiency as well as entertaining.
Sustainable building practices including recycling building materials, design layout, specialized insulation practices and Energy Star products make this residence a highly energy efficient and healthy home.
The design is well suited for easy gathering both inside and out with the large custom deck. The color palette is warm and inviting. Holiday decorations for these new homeowners are a continuation of their choice to be environmentally and budget friendly, while keeping with the holiday spirit.
The tour will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and cost $8 per person. Tickets are available in advance or the day of the tour at Almost Home, 17 W. Franklin St.; Treasures on the Square, 2 W. Washington St.; Eitel's Flowers and Gifts, 17 S. Vine St.; Ambler-Hill Florists, 100 W. Walnut St.; and Curves, 45 Putnam Plaza.
In addition, holiday wreaths decorated and donated by members of the community will be a part of the first holiday home tour silent auction. Wreaths will be on display in the community room on the lower level of First National Bank.
Bids for the wreaths may be placed any time during the home tour with the highest bid to be determined at 5 p.m. Cookies, punch and coffee will be served.
