Putnam County Jail

Johnnie Chestnut, 48, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 3 p.m. Tuesday for domestic battery.

Adrein Hilbert, 30, Cloverdale, was booked at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and operating per se.

Carol D. McGaughey, 50, Lafayette, was booked at 10:26 a.m. Wednesday for violation of probation.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Arick Gardner, Reelsville, was traveling on SR 243S near Putnamville at 7:04 p.m. Saturday when his vehicle struck a deer. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Michael Davis, Indianapolis, was traveling on US 40E near Mount Meridian at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday when his vehicle struck a deer. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Robert Williams, Plainfield, was traveling on US 40E near Greencastle at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday when his vehicle struck a deer. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Daniel White, Reelsville, was traveling on US 231 S near Cloverdale at 7:46 p.m. Saturday, when his vehicle struck a deer. Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Warren Drive and Airport Road at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday to investigate the smell of gas. Nothing was found and they were back in service 6:36 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 600 Kirkwood Drive at 2:59 a.m. Wednesday for a malfunctioning fire alarm. They were back in service to 3:27 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 632 CR 200E at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday to investigate smoke, which was from a burning brush pile. They were back in service at 9:08 a.m.
