Don and Lucille Gilstrap plan double celebration
Donald and Lucille (Ratcliff/Gibson) Gilstrap will have double reasons to celebrate in the coming month.
First, they will mark their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 19. They were married in Crawfordsville on Feb. 19, 1972 with Lawrence and Marie Windmiller as their attendants.
Secondly, on March 12 they will celebrate their shared birthday, with Lucille turning 82 and Don turning 83.
Due to health reasons, they will mark both occasions with private celebrations but would enjoy receiving cards from extended family and friends. The couple resides at 411 W. Pat Rady Way, Bainbridge, IN 46105.
Don and Lucille are the parents of Vicki Windmiller and husband Larry of Roachdale, Donna Wendling and husband Hal of Normal, Ill., Denise Haulk and husband Raymond of Crawfordsville, Roger Gibson and wife Carrie of Roachdale, Rob Gibson and wife Michele of Bainbridge and Rich Phillips and wife Kim of Sheridan. One daughter, Lu Phillips, is deceased.
The couple also has 18 grandchildren (one of whom is deceased) and 16 great-grandchildren.
Don is now retired from Navistar (former International Harvester) in Indianapolis, while Lucille is a retired bookkeeper.
