Convicted killer dies exactly three years after slaying wife
CARLISLE -- A Reelsville man convicted in the 2010 murder of his wife died on Jan. 13 at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.
Jeremy R. Bledsoe, 34, had been serving a 64-year sentence with the Indiana Department of Correction for the Jan. 13, 2010 slaying of 31-year-old Kathryne Bledsoe.
Jeremy's death comes three years to the day he shot Kathryne.
A Wabash Valley spokesman told the Banner Graphic that autopsy results are pending, but that foul play was not a factor. Bledsoe's death appears to be the result of a medical issue.
After the trial date was twice moved back, Bledsoe decided to enter a guilty plea, which he did in March 2011.
At Bledsoe's May 2011 sentencing, Putnam Circuit Judge Matthew Headley gave him a 64-year sentence of a possible 65 years.
"You have scarred your children for life, and you have also made them orphans," Headley told Bledsoe.
The Bledoes had three children, two of whom were in the home at the time of the slaying.
