MHAPC seeking nominations for annual awards

Mental Health America of Putnam County is soliciting nominations for its annual awards for Person of the Year and Educator of the Year.

The Mental Health America Person of the Year Award recognizes an individual in the community who has shown outstanding dedication to improving mental health and wellness of individuals and families and who tirelessly promotes the mission of Mental Health America of Putnam County.

The Mental Health America Educator of the Year Award recognizes an educator in Putnam County who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the mental health and wellness of children, families and fellow education professionals.

All nominations should be sent to the MHAPC office at 10 ½ N. Jackson St., Greencastle, IN 46135, or you may e-mail them to mhapc2@cinergymetro.net no later than April 5.

Recipients of the Person of the Year Award in recent years have been Linda Mann, Patti Harmless, Marj Peeler and the Greencastle High School Football Team. Recipients of the Educator of the Year have been Karen Hamm, Mary Jane Scamahorn, Anita Edenfield and Jackie Baumann.

The awards will be presented at the May Annual Meeting. The date and location will be announced at a later date. In addition to the awards, there will be a program and refreshments will be served at the meeting.
