Live date and service auction benefiting museum April 26

On Friday, April 26 the Putnam County Museum will host its first-ever date and service auction.

The Match: Connecting the Community will begin at 6 p.m. at the Bainbridge Community Center, located on U.S. 36 at the west edge of Bainbridge.

The evening will include a social hour with a delicious appetizer buffet and cash bar. Music and emcee services will be provided by James "Figgy" Hardwick and Rick Parent will do the honors of auctioning off what time and talents local folks have donated.

Museum Director Tanis Monday and her Putnam County Dancing with the Stars partner Logan Kuhne will reprise their spirited tango number during the event.

Tickets are available at the Putnam County Museum through Friday, April 19 at $20 per person or a party pack of six tickets for $100.

Sponsors of the event include Greencastle Hometown Dental, Urology of Indiana, Collins Evans Real Estate, Banner Graphic, First Financial Bank, Jinsie Bingham, Headley Hardware, HBG Insurance and Cunningham Insurance.

More than 25 auctionees are on the auction block for the evening. A few of the items include:

Coach Bill Fenlon -- Two tickets and transportation to the Butler-DePauw exhibition basketball game.

Coach Bill Lynch -- Sideline pass for the Monon Bell football game.

BSR -- 90 minutes of music subject to availability (Bill Hamm, Steve Michael and Rick Provine).

Sue Murray -- Coffee with the mayor.

Barb South -- Private cooking lesson for two.

Becky Kerr -- K-9 Kastle dog-grooming services.

Joe Ashby -- Three-hour outdoor photography workshop.

Coach Nick Mourouzis -- Kicking/punting lesson.

Saraellen Peters -- Pencil drawing.

Patty McCastle -- Papermaking class.

Art Harris -- Tour of Harris Sugar Bush Farm.

Serendipity Yoga Studio -- Four group classes for one.

Sherry Gammon -- Pine needle basket lesson.

J.R. Scott -- Airplane ride.

Lance and Elaine Myers -- Beekeeping lesson.

Chris Wurster -- Fly-fishing lessons.

Lynn Tweedie -- Kayak trip for two.

Vince Lazar -- Playing round golf lesson.

Bill Fenlon -- Game day on the bench for DPU men's basketball.

Vince Lazar -- Three one-hour golf lessons.

The Maids -- Cleaning service by four people for three hours.

Mike Goss --Will, POA and health-care POA.

Bobbie Lancaster -- 30-minute children's performance.

Everyone is invited to participate in the new event and connect people with others who have the services, talents and skills from which they can benefit.
