Theresa Mary Henderson
Theresa Mary Henderson, formerly of Greencastle and Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at age 98.
Her friends knew her as "Cheeta."
She was born Aug. 29, 1914 at Bedford, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her Hungarian parents, Michael and Mary Kovach; her husband of 40 years, Jewell Clyde; and sisters Mary Kubera, Margaret Gaza, Betty Kubera and Helen Peters.
She is survived by her son, Michael Clyde and wife Ann; granddaughters Kay (Gregg) Neidlinger, Karen Henderson and Kathy (Steve) Carmin; great-grandchildren Jeffrey, Adam and Mallory Neidlinger; nieces Donna Berry, Gail Mariola, Barbara Schmidtke and Judy Pyatt and their children.
She led a full life as a homemaker and at 50 learned to drive and opened her own Home Beauty Salon.
Theresa was an influence to her family and friends and all with whom she was in contact.
The statement most people used to describe Theresa was "What a kind person she was to me." Family was the center of her life.
Theresa will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
In her final years, she was cared for by the compassionate staff at the Danville Regional Rehab Facility.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, May 17 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Indianapolis. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Indianapolis.
Calling is scheduled from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Danville Regional Rehab Facility.
