Brazil Concert Band makes more appearances

The Brazil Concert Band will present "A Midsummer's Offering" at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Forest Park rain or shine.

BCB principal clarinetist Ralph Stewart will guest conduct the band. Stewart is director of the Marshall, Ill., Municipal Band and plays in the Jackson Township Community Band.

The following selections are to be performed: "March of the Olympians" by Walker-Linn, "His Honor" by Fillmore, "Irish Tune from County Derry" by Rogers, "Overture Militaire" by Haydn-Skornika, "New York 1927" by Barker, "Sarasota March" by Evans, "Sinatra in Concert" by Nowak, "The Saints Hallelujah" by Henderson-Custer, "The Drunken Sailor" by Hull, "Shaft" by Hayes-Lowden and "The Belle of Chicago" by Sousa.

The next concert will be July 21.
