Tiger Cubs lose close match at Southmont

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle boys' tennis team lost a tight match at Southmont on Tuesday 3-2.

The Tiger Cubs got wins from No. 3 singles Jed Fajt and the No. 1 doubles pair of Jake Mangrum and Kaleb Flemming.

Fajt beat Wyatt Wadell 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 and Mangrum and Flemming beat Justin Lowe and Clayton Berrisford 6-0, 6-2.

The match came down to No. 2 doubles, a third-set loss for the Tiger Cubs.

Greencastle hosts sectional-rival Northview on Wednesday, a rescheduled match that was heated-out last week.
