County meetings on adjusted schedule in October

With the 2014 Putnam County budget up for adoption this month, the Putnam County Council will meet twice, forcing an adjustment to the October meeting schedule for both the council and the commissioners.

The first county council meeting, to handle regular business, will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The meeting will also feature the adoption of the Greencastle Community School Corporation 2014 budget.

The council will meet again at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 for budget adoption. The council will also have some additional appropriations and budget reductions on the agenda for the second meeting.

The second council meeting will bump the Putnam County Commissioners out of their normal evening meeting slot. Instead, the commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

All meetings will take place in the Commissioners Courtroom on the first floor of the Putnam County Courthouse.
