Holiday Gala

Continuing a growing Greencastle tradition of welcoming the holiday season through music and song, 10 groups representing the DePauw University School of Music staged the third annual Holiday Gala Saturday night (and again Sunday afternoon) at Kresge Auditorium in the Green Center for the Performing Arts. Among the highlights were a rendition of "Santa Baby" by singer Annelise Delcambre of the Chamber Singers.

A finale featuring an audience sing-along with all the performers, led by DePauw Orchestra Director Orcenith Smith (standing left) and others, creating a video Christmas card of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." The video is to be sent to alums Judson and Joyce Green, who recently donated $15 million to the School of Music to establish the 21st Century Musician Initiative at DePauw.
