Patrick E. Carrico

Patrick E. Carrico, 54, of Greencastle passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

Pat was born on June 12, 1959 in Greencastle.

He honorably served the Greencastle and surrounding communities for more than 30 years as Firefighter No. 602 with the Greencastle Fire Department, attaining the rank of Captain.

He was a longtime member of the American Firefighters Association, Greencastle Elks Lodge No. 1077, Greencastle Moose Lodge No. 1592 and Greencastle Eagles Lodge No. 4388.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Bud Holton; maternal grandparents, Blanche and Eugene Dorsett; his in-laws, Otis and Stella Adams; a brother, Randy Holton; and brother-in-law, Tom Williams.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Debbie; son, Kyle Carrico and Kaleigh Vaughn of Greencastle; his mother, Audra Holton; a sister, Sue Williams of Greencastle; two brothers, Michael Carrico of Greencastle and Tom Holton and wife Kathryn of Greencastle; son Dustin Tinsley; brother-in-law Larry Adams and Janet Dyer of Greencastle; one grandson, Eli Carrico; several nieces and nephews; and his Corgi, Pepe.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Chaplain Donnie Watson officiating. Interment with honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. An Elks Lodge walk through will immediately precede the service.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pat enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at home and the Fire Department. He was especially proud of the CC Bar that he built. He attended many of his son's dirt bike races where he served as "Crew Chief and Head Mechanic".
