McCloud Nature Park to host snowshoe hike Saturday

NORTH SALEM -- The McCloud Nature Park will be hosting a free snowshoe Yule hike on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Participants are invited to strap on the parks snowshoes (limited supply) or bring your own and ascend Red-Tailed Ridge as park naturalists discuss old time Yule traditions.

This free hike is open to all ages and will last approximately 2 hours.

Wear boots and dress for the weather, and enjoy the restorative peace of an afternoon nature hike in a beautiful park.

McCloud Nature Park is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation and is located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 N. Hughes Rd.

Admission is always free and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily. The Nature Center's hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
