Several local students have been named to the spring 2014 dean's list at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

In order to be named to the dean's list, a student must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average.

* JAKE GOULD of Greencastle is a senior civil engineering major and is the son of Tim and Mary Gould.

* SAM GOULD of Greencastle is a junior mechanical engineering major and is the son of Tim and Mary Gould.

* JORDON PHILLIPS of Greencastle is a senior software engineering and computer science double major and is the son of Jeffrey and Jannette Phillips.

* ADAM ZIGLER of Fillmore is a senior applied biology major and is the son of Rick and Debbie Zigler.

* RYAN ZIGLER of Fillmore is a senior biomedical engineering major and is the son of Rick and Debbie Zigler.

* GRACE AKER of Reelsville is a senior mechanical engineering major and is the daughter of Steve Aker and Vicki Timm.

Rose-Hulman is a private college in Terre Haute that specializes in science, engineering and mathematics education.



CAITLIN WYATT, a McKendree University sophomore from Greencastle, made the Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester. To be eligible, a full-time student must earn a grade point average of 3.60 or higher for the term.

Founded in 1828, the historic Lebanon, Ill., campus of McKendree University is 25 miles from downtown St. Louis. McKendree also has campuses in Louisville and Radcliff, Ky., and offers programs at Scott Air Force Base and other sites throughout Illinois and Kentucky. www.mckendree.edu



AISA K. TERRY, a South Putnam graduate and Cloverdale resident, was named to the spring 2014 dean's list at Indiana State University.

The ISU junior is pursuing a degree in recreation and sports management.

To be eligible for the dean's list, students must have completed at least 12 hours of traditional, graded coursework and achieve a grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

During the summer break, Aisa studied in Greece, and her father Kevin Terry and grandparents Lucas and Donna Graham and Helen Webb would like to thank those who helped and prayed for her.



JACKIE THUROW WILDE, a 1950 graduate of Greencastle High School and 1954 graduate of DePauw University, was inducted into the Fort Dodge (Iowa) Senior High School Hall of Fame on June 12, 2014.

She was honored for her outstanding record in coaching volleyball from 1969 to 1991, during which she accumulated 519 wins and 204 losses. Wilde's teams won the right to play in the state tournament 19 consecutive times, won two state championships, nine top four finishes and had 17 players named to the all-state team.

In 1998, the local tournament was named for her.

In addition, Wilde served on the National United States Volleyball Association committees, was named National Leader in Volleyball in 1979, twice regional leader, Iowa Coaches Hall of Fame and Outstanding Service to the National Junior Volleyball Association.

Since retirement, she and husband Bruce reside in Gold Canyon, Ariz. All three of their children, Rod, Kevin and Cheryl, have competed and coached volleyball, with Rod a member of the 1984 Olympic team and a coach in two Olympiads.



RACHEL A. EGOLD was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Anderson University. Egold graduated with honors in May, earning a bachelor's degree in the nursing program.

DREW J. CASH also graduated from Anderson in May with a bachelor's degree in business and finance. Drew graduated magna cum laude and was named first in his class in the business and finance school.
