Friends of Library book sale under way

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

The Friends of the Putnam County Library's annual Holiday Book Sale will take place in the lobby of the library and in the new Book Nook area, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The sale will go until they run out of books.

During regular library hours, gently used books will be offered for low prices, including children's books, cookbooks, mysteries, histories, romances, biographies, novels and "coffee table" books.

Science fiction, sports, gardening, religion, business, travel, hobbies, health and fitness will also be available.

The Friends of the Putnam County Public Library exists to promote literacy in all of its forms, lifelong learning, the love of reading and the freedom to read by supporting PCPL with money, moral support, programs and volunteer service.

Some of its sponsored programs include the library's annual Halloween Free Book Program, which more than 1,000 children attended this year, a variety of events and speakers and Imagination Library.
