Sixth grade Eagles win runner-up

The South Putnam sixth grade girls basketball team competed in the Indiana Hoops Fall League and this past weekend finished runner-up in the e sixth grade girls tournament at Greenfield Central High School. The team beat Greenwood in the semi-finals 24 to 17. Scoring for the team was Alex Steffy 8, Macie Bumgardner 8, Brianna Egold 4, Ava McHugh 4.

They lost in the championship game to host Greenfield Central 21 to 18. Scoring for the team was A. Steffy 6, Egold 6, McHugh 2, Bumgardner 2 and Bree Sutherland 2.
