Clover golf looks to improve

Friday, April 24, 2015

CLOVERDALE -- CHS golf coach Doug Wokoun is happy with the way his younger golfers are progressing as the season wears on and while the Clovers picked up a second-place finish at Clover Meadows with 194 behind Northview's 168, CHS seems to be hitting its stride just in time for a few county rival matchups.

"The weather looked great, but the wind was tough once again," Wokoun said. "Kylar played fairly well, with only a couple of tough patches. Freddy is getting the pieces in place, but is still trying to find consistency. Zarek is continuing to improve, and may be a factor for us by the latter part of the season."

The Clovers (4-1) will host North Putnam on Monday before a three-way meet with Greencastle and Plainfield Thursday.
