The Putnam County Public Library (PCPL) is seeking nominations for public representatives to the new Library Improvement Committee.

The PCPL is forming a new committee charged with exploring new areas for library improvement and transformation, including facilities renovations/expansions, library services and collections, public events and community outreach and is seeking representatives from all areas of Putnam County.

Interested parties should email info@pcpl21.org, call 653-2755 or visit the link on the library website, pcpl21.org, and provide name, local address, phone and email address. Members will be selected based on the needs for representation from each area of the county.

The mission of the Library Improvement Committee will be to discuss and explore opportunities for enhancing and expanding PCPL services through the pursuit of transformative projects, community partnerships and creative solutions.

The committee will serve as a Library Board subcommittee and will therefore adhere to board bylaws and rules of conduct. Minutes from meetings will be shared during Library Board meetings and recommendations for new projects will be formally presented.

The committee should consist of representatives from the Library Board, library staff and library patrons/public.
