Inaugural Arts Council event slated for Friday

The Greencastle Arts Council is hosting its inaugural "Blank Canvas" event on Friday, May 29 at 24 S. Indiana St.

The 6-8 p.m. event, featuring works by Putnam County artists, is an opportunity for community members to share why the arts are personally meaningful and an invitation to contribute to a vision for a thriving arts presence.

The Greencastle Arts Council, an emerging non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in Putnam County, is the host of this event and hopes that feedback from the community will help shape the future activities and initiatives of the council.

A brief annual meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
