My Garden Series: Composting from Garbage to Garden by Karen Staub

Learn all about Composting with Master Gardener Karen Staub in the next My Garden series Noon Brown Bag program on Tuesday, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Putnam County Public Library.

Staub is a Gold Member Master Gardener and a Master Naturalist in Putnam and Parke counties, and a speaker on invasive as well as edible and medicinal native plant species.

Staub received her MAT at DePauw University and taught Art for several years at Greencastle Middle School. She is a practicing artist and demonstrates a range of arts and crafts uphill from the Mill in Bridgeton. She has published two books on macrame' lawn chairs, and her work is on display at the Visitor's center at Lieber State Recreation area.

Bring and enjoy your lunch while learning what to do with your extra branches, leaves, kitchen garbage, and newspapers. Light refreshments will be served. This program is free and open to the public.
