In the second year of the South Putnam Summer League, it was Greencastle who took the crown for the second year in a row on Wednesday. The Tiger Cubs took on Clay City in the semi-finals and then beat Northview in the championship 44-26.

The Eagle's comeback bid fell short against Northview and Cloverdale fell in the quarterfinals.

GHS took advantage of some good three-point shooting in the championship game and many incoming freshmen provided the long-range shooting.

Marin Nally, Jalyn Duff, and Aubrey Barker were all viable three-point potions and will be welcomed on coach Brad Key's offense that already has Bethany Burgeson.

Burgeson, Paige Bragg and Allison White are three of the upperclassmen on the team who will be leading the Tiger Cubs next season.

For South Putnam, coach Tim Garver finished coaching the summer season before he takes his position as North Putnam's athletic director. The Eagles will have a few younger players like Maddie McHugh, Miranda Bieghlar and Lillie Stein to complement Katie Hewitt, Rebecca Hazlett and the other upperclassmen.
