Registration open for October computer classes

Sunday, September 27, 2015

Putnam County Public Library will be offering two computer classes in October.

The computer classes being offered are lecture classes instead of the usual hands-on classes and are designed to introduce patrons to new and exciting aspects of the Internet.

On Monday, Oct. 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Introduction to Cloud Computing will introduce patrons to cloud computing, free cloud software from Google and Microsoft and why cloud computing is the way the world will be using computers in the future.

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Introduction to Social Networking will introduce patrons to a variety of websites devoted to socializing with others online and ways to protect privacy, while enjoying a rich online social life.

All classes are for beginners, free and open to the public, but registration is required since space is limited. Class is two hours long with a break. To sign up, visit the library website at www.pcpl21.org, call Mike at 765-653-2755 Ext. 118 or stop by the circulation or reference desks at the library.
