Local churches to host Trunk-or-Treat events

Greencastle Christian Church

The upper parking lot at Greencastle Christian Church, 620 Primrose Lane, will be filled with decorated trunks full of treats on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The community is invited to bring their kids and visit the cleverly-designed trunks. Some trunks will feature games as well as candy.

Hayrides, facepainting and giveaways will also be featured. A dinner of hot dog, chips, fruit and bottled water will be served for only $1.

Putnamville UMC

Putnamville United Methodist Church will host its inaugural truck-or-treat event from 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.

All are invited to the historic brick church on U.S. 40 in Putnamville.

Event will be canceled in case of rain.

Peace Lutheran Church

The congregation at Peace Lutheran Church and School invites all to its truck-or-treat event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The event will take place in the north parking lot at 1421 Bloomington St. Come enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere and come away with a few treats for the kids.
