The DePauw University Choirs, led by conductor Kristina Boerger, celebrates the ArtsFest 2015 theme, "Art & Transformation," with a program of songs that have evolved through the centuries from some of the very first four-part harmonies written in the West to song texts from Shakespeare's plays set to vocal jazz arrangements by Sir George Shearing. A company of thespians, under the direction of Amy Hayes, will collaborate with the musicians to preface the dramatic adaptations with a scene from the play that is the source of the lyrics. Sunday's seating on the Kresge Stage will create an intimate artist/audience experience with performers interspersed throughout the audience.
