Traditional Thanksgiving dinners of turkey and all the trimmings are served to some 250 Putnam County residents Thursday, thanks to the efforts of Greencastle Christian Church members and another dozen community volunteers. Keeping the food line moving at the church in order to serve the 40 dine-in guests and prepare more than 200 meals for carry-out and delivery, Terri Riser (above, right) dishes up mashed potatoes to fill out plates held by Tara Baugh and Mike Fidler as (back right) Jim Crosley scoops up dressing. Among those dining in, three-year-old Gabriella Rouse of Cloverdale is obviously enjoying her holiday meal, savoring a fork full of turkey with a big smile.
