County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Summer Lillian Baker, 18, Poland was arrested for disorderly conduct.

At 10:40 p.m. Heather Marie Allen, 31, Greenfield, was lodged at the jail on three out-of-county warrants.

* At 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Darrin Scott Lyons, 29, Coatesville, was housed a the jail on a warrant.

At 10:41 a.m. Dustin Scobee, 29, Brazil, was charged with possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement.

At 2:47 p.m. Jason Brian Brown, 43, no city listed, was booked in on a court order.

At 7:15 p.m. Ami Ruth Reveal, 45, Anderson, was arrested on a warrant.

At 8:55 p.m. Derek Jordan Knowling, 31, Roachdale, was lodged at the jail for operating while intoxicated.

At 9:35 p.m. Paris Nicole Wilburn, 22, Greencastle, was booked in for theft.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to one recent property damage accident.

* At 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Steven C. Moses, 36, Greencastle, was westbound on County Road 200 South approaching the intersection with State Road 75 and the eastern end of State Road 240.

Moses told Capt. Tom Helmer he tried to stop his 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche but his tires slid on wet pavement and onto State Road 75.

Koren E. Bousley, 39, Coatesville, was southbound on State Road 75 in a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. She told deputies that Moses' vehicle slid into her path and she couldn't avoid the collision.

The impact spun Moses' truck approximately 180 degrees and onto State Road 240, striking the front of a 2005 Ford F350 registered to Edwards Electrical, Indianapolis. The truck on State Road 240 was broken down in the eastbound lane prior to the crash.

Bousley complained of pain to her hand and was to be transported by family to a medical facility.

Bousley's and Moses' vehicles had to be towed. Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.

Helmer was assisted at the scene by Capt. Steve Fenwick.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to three dispatches and one medical run.

* At 8:29 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a controlled burn at 3495 S. U.S. 231 near Greencastle. GFD assisted with a supervised controlled burn.

* At 10 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD assisted Clinton Township with a structure fire located near a beach house at Van Bibber Lake.

* At 5:59 a.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a one-vehicle accident that, upon initial reports, included injuries. However, no injuries were ultimately reported and GFD cleared the scene at 10:22 p.m.
