Darrell Lee Jackson

Darrell Lee Jackson, 62, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016.

Born April 27, 1953 in Cunot, he was the son of Clarence Donovan McCammack and Easther Mae (Strait) Jackson.

Darrell served in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam from 1971-73 and was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He had recently retired from the Putnam County Highway Department, where he had worked for more than 30 years.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Greencastle.

He is survived by his wife, Terri L. (Hood) Jackson; daughters Eve Jackson and Amy (Chris) Hanley; sister Connie (Ken) Glover; brother Cliff Jackson; brother-in-law Mel Burkett; mother-in-law Harriet Hood; grandchildren, Chris, Kelsey, Kolby, C.J. and Cheyanne; great-grandchildren, Kendrick and Maleah, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sandra Kay Burkett; and a niece Laura Jackson Featherston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow with military rites at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24 at the funeral home.
