Greencastle City Police Officers Zach Rhine and Elsiana Crosby display marijuana plants confiscated in a narcotics investigation at about 8:30 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Apartments. Tenants of the apartment complex reported the odor of marijuana coming from one of the units and contacted police. During the investigation, Officers Rhine and Crosby discovered a marijuana grow in a hall closet. They recovered three marijuana plants, baggies of marijuana and several items of paraphernalia. Two individuals were cited for being minors in consumption of alcohol and two others were taken to the Putnam County Jail for possession of marijuana/paraphernalia and probation violation, pending Prosecutor's Office review. GPD night supervisor Sgt. Eric Vaughan, who was also at the scene, stressed that Crosby and Rhine did an outstanding job.
