Auditions for Playhouse production of '1776' set

Director Shelly McFadden will have two sessions of auditions for casting the upcoming musical "1776" at the Putnam County Playhouse.

The first session will be Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m. The second session will be Monday, June 6 at 7 p.m. Both will be at the Hazel Day Longden Theatre in Greencastle.

The show will be presented Aug. 11-13 and Aug. 17-20. It is being sponsored by First National Bank.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare a song and bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.

There also will be readings from the script and a short dance audition.
