Celebrate 4 schedule of events

The Celebrate 4 committee has announced the schedule of events for Independence Day at Robe-Ann Park on Monday, July 4.

Beginning in the cool of the morning and lasting until the final fireworks well after dusk, it will be a day full of activity in Greencastle.

7:30-8:30 a.m. -- Zumba with Lita and Kids Fitness with Ivan, donations to benefit Celebrate 4, Bob Flanigan Bandshell

8 a.m. -- 25th Annual Mike Rokicki Memorial 5K Road Run. Registration beginning at 7 a.m. at Shelter No. 5, $20 per person or $25 day of race.

8-11 a.m. -- Pancakes for Parks and Pathways, Shelter No. 1, $5 for all-you-can-eat

9:15 a.m. -- 13th annual youth Firecracker Fun Run, free

11 a.m. -- Adult Swim/Aqua Zumba by Dance Workshop, Aquatics Center, free

Noon-5 p.m. -- Open swim, contests and games for all ages, Aquatics Center, free

Noon-10 p.m. -- Food court open

1 p.m. -- Corn hole tournament, $20 per team. Registration at noon as well as free open play

2 p.m.-dusk -- Free entertainment at Bob Flanigan Bandshell

* Vonbernd K-9 Center police K-9 demonstration, 2-3 p.m.

* Reading of the Declaration of Independence, Paul and James Champion, 5-5:15 p.m.

* 2015 Putnam County Star champion Tony Patrick, 5:15-6:15 p.m.

* Blues Side Up, 6:30-8 p.m.

* Carl Bentley Bluegrass, 8:15-9:45 p.m.

5:30 p.m.-dusk -- Big Bounce Fun House Rental inflatables, Shelter No. 5 area, tickets for $1 and $5

Dusk -- Annual 4th of July Fireworks Show by Sky Magic, blanket pass donation

Music will be provided by 94.3 FM WREB during the fireworks show.
