Piano students will compete at state fair

Two piano students of Cheryl Beck of Greencastle have qualified to participate in the final competition of the 2016 Indiana State Fair Young Hoosier State Piano Competition.
Ashley and Andrea Whitesell will perform on Aug. 21 in the third floor auditorium of the Ellison Bakery Home and Family Arts Building on the state fairgrounds.
The two students were among approximately 400 students, ages 5-22, who competed in regional competitions conducted in Carmel, West Lafayette and Columbus.
Ashley and Andrea are competing in two categories--non-classical and international music.
The competition is sponsored by Piano Solutions of Carmel.
