Clifford Andrew Torr Jr.

Clifford Andrew Torr Jr., 92, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

Born Sept. 7, 1923 in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of Clifford Andrew and Dorothy Marie Torr.

He was a United States Army veteran serving in World War II, having received the EAME Theater, American Theater Ribbons, three Bronze Service Stars, a Bronze Star medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

Clifford had owned and operated Torr's Restaurant for several years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He is survived by his children, Ron (Diane) Torr, Terry Torr, Rhonda (Mike) Steele, Shari Torr, Marlene (Terry) King and Darlene Torr; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara L. Torr; his parents; brother Carl Torr; grandson Kevin K. Torr, and a daughter-in-law, Toni Torr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Interment with military rites will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 1. from 4-8 p.m.
